Job title: O2C Team Lead - Japan

About the Role

As the O2C Team Lead for Japan within Sony Interactive Entertainment's Global Accounting & Treasury (GAT) organization, you will lead the Japan O2C operations including AR management, credit management, and customer master data. You will collaborate with Asia regional teams and overseas sites, report to the US Director, and oversee day-to-day operations with a hybrid work style.

What You'll Do

• Lead and stabilize Japan O2C operations; support and coach team members; manage progress; resolve issues; allocate tasks; ensure accuracy, efficiency, and governance.
• AR management: invoicing, AR balances, reconciliation, unapplied payments, aging, and closing support.
• Credit management: assess credit risk for Japan and Asia, verify payment terms, monitor AR balances and cash flow, collaborate with sales and related teams to mitigate risk.
• Customer master management: register/change customer data; onboarding; collaborate with other teams to ensure accurate master data.
• Closing & reporting: monitor AR balances, overdue receivables, adjustments; analyst accounts; prepare closing materials; create reports on AR, delinquent receivables, unapplied cash, cash receipts, and credit status to visualize operations and issues.
• Process improvement and global collaboration: standardize processes, explore automation, utilize data, and share learnings with overseas sites to drive global improvements; participate in cross-functional projects.
• Flexible assignments: additional organization-wide or regional projects as needed.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a corporate or audit firm, or equivalent; or hands-on experience in AR management, credit management, customer master, or monthly close; plus prior team leadership or people management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders domestically and internationally.
• Japanese business-level language skills (N1 or equivalent) and English business proficiency; Japanese accounting knowledge at least equal to 日商簿記2級.
• Prefer SAP experience; strong data analysis via Excel/BI tools; ability to drive process improvements, standardization, and automation; experience collaborating with global teams.

Nice to Have

• SAP experience in accounting processes.
• Data analysis and reporting using Excel/BI; improvement and automation experience.
• Experience coordinating with global teams, overseas sites, or BPO/outsourcing.
