Job Responsibilities
- Preparing and organizing the dietetics workshop for practical lessons and demonstrations.
- Assisting trainers in conducting practical sessions in nutrition, dieteticssofood 0. Box 111 preparation and meal planning.
- Preparing ingredients, equipment, tools and materials required for practical training sessions.
- Demonstrating appropriate food preparation, cooking, portioning and presentation techniques to learners under the guidance of the trainer.
- Ensuring the proper use, handling, cleaning and storage of workshop equipment, tools and utensils.
- Maintaining cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation in the dietetics workshop before, during and after practical sessions.
- Identifying defective equipment and reporting the need for repair, replacement or servicing.
- Assisting trainers in preparing practical training materials and resources for competency-based training.
- Supporting learners during practical exercises and ensuring that workshop procedures are followed.
- Maintaining records of workshop usage, consumables, equipment maintenance and practical
Job Specifications
- Higher National diploma or Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and dietetics, Bachelor of Technology in Nutrition and dietetics or its equivalents.
- Must be a registered member of Kenya Nutritionist and dieticians Institute.
