Job title: Nursing Supervisor | Nights | Per Diem (Laconia/Franklin)
About the Role Under the direction of the Administrative Director, the Nursing Supervisor (Registered Nurse) is responsible for daily supervision and coordination of operations for the hospital and patient care areas. The role includes responding to clinical and organizational emergency situations and supporting delivery of high-quality patient care and professional nursing practice.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a leader and resource for staff, patients, and families; provide guidance and feedback to staff
- Coach and direct staff in clinical decision-making; supervise staffing and resource allocation; serve as on-site leadership during evenings, nights, and weekends with Administrator On-Call access
- Develop and implement staffing plans based on patient needs; coordinate bed management and patient flow to optimize hospital capacity
- Respond to emergency situations (e.g., Rapid Response, Stroke Alerts, Trauma); act as a clinical resource and guide nursing care using critical thinking; serve as Incident Command in emergencies until relieved
- Maintain open communication, document incidents, support service recovery, and participate in hospital-wide initiatives
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and nursing standards; promote mission, vision, values and a healthy work environment
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited college/university preferred, or commensurate education and experience
- Licensure/Certifications: Current NH RN license; current BLS for Healthcare Providers, ACLS, and PALS or equivalent; MOAB required within 1 year
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of acute care clinical experience; prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred; ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary staff and function as a team member
Compensation & Benefits
- Per diem, part-time schedule; nights; minimum 24 clinical hours every 4 weeks, including at least 1 weekend shift and at least 1 summer holiday and 1 winter holiday or difficult-to-fill shift around observed holidays
