About the Role The University of Saint Francis in Crown Point, Indiana invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Nursing Faculty position in the Undergraduate Program beginning August 15, 2026. The role emphasizes nursing education in clinical and classroom settings, with a teaching load of 24-27 credit hours per academic year, and requires assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of instruction aligned with program objectives. The successful candidate will advance the Catholic and Franciscan Mission of the University and engage in ongoing professional development, collaboration within the Pathway, across the University and in the community.
What You'll Do
- Teach nursing content in clinical and classroom settings in coordination with established program and course objectives.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate instruction to support student learning.
- Manage a teaching load of 24-27 credit hours per academic year.
- Engage in continuing professional development and collaborative service within the Pathway, the University, and the broader community.
- Uphold and promote the Catholic and Franciscan Mission of the University.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or Doctorate preferred.
- Current Indiana RN license.
- Specialization in Nursing with experience, success, and interest in clinical and classroom instruction aligned to program objectives.
- Background in mental health or medical-surgical nursing preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to advance the Catholic and Franciscan Mission; strong collaboration and teaching communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Master’s or Doctorate degree preferred (advanced credential).
- Background in mental health or medical-surgical nursing.
