Job title: Nursing Department Tutor (Federal Work-Study)
About the Role LIU is seeking a part-time Nursing Department Tutor (Federal Work-Study) to support nursing students. Working with the Department chair, tutors will provide one-on-one or small-group tutoring to reinforce pharmacology, pathophysiology, and fundamentals. This on-campus position is available at the Brooklyn and Post campuses and pays $20 per hour with start date as soon as possible; application deadline is October 31, 2026.
What You'll Do
- Tutor nursing students in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Fundamentals in 1:1 or small-group settings.
- Collaborate with the Nursing Department Chair to plan and deliver tutoring sessions.
- Schedule and conduct sessions on LIU's Brooklyn and Post campuses.
- Ensure completion of required application materials with a reference from a Nursing Professor.
- Report to: Chairperson of the Nursing Department.
What We're Looking For
- Strong academic strength in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, and Fundamentals.
- Eligibility for Federal Work-Study and on-campus availability at Brooklyn and Post campuses.
- Ability to communicate clearly and support nursing students in a tutoring setting.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States.
