About the Role
The Nursing Clinical Skills Specialist provides leadership in simulation-based nursing education at the Dee Adams Center for Innovation and Simulation Excellence. They serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff, supporting simulation activities and ensuring alignment with current nursing practice standards and Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice.
What You'll Do
- Support students, faculty, and staff with simulation activities in the Dee Adams Center, including event setup and breakdown, facilitation, prebriefing and debriefing, and manikin scenario programming.
- Operate and troubleshoot simulation-related equipment and manage inventory and replenishment of supplies.
- Assist with updating and maintaining simulation scenarios and related materials to reflect current nursing practice standards and Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice.
- Provide administrative support for simulation initiatives, including evaluation/revision of experiences, orientation of faculty to simulation experiences, orientation of graduate students to responsibilities in the center, and assistance with student skill development.
What We're Looking For
- RN with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing required; minimum two years of clinical experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, and strong oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
