Job title: Nursing Clinical Instructor - Adjunct
About the Role Southern Adventist University's School of Nursing is seeking a dedicated Nursing Clinical Instructor to join our Adjunct Faculty (less than 19 hours per week). The role focuses on supervising and teaching nursing students during clinical rotations to ensure a safe, engaging, and effective learning experience. The ideal candidate will be a practicing Christian with a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for education.
What You'll Do
- Supervise nursing students during clinical rotations in healthcare settings.
- Provide guidance, support, and instruction to students to develop their clinical skills.
- Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and assess clinical competencies.
- Collaborate with healthcare facility staff to ensure students meet clinical learning objectives.
- Maintain high standards of patient care and model best practices for students.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in nursing or higher preferred; BSN considered based on years of experience.
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
- Minimum of two years clinical nursing experience, preferably in Acute/Critical Care.
- Teaching experience as a clinical instructor or educator preferred but not required.
- Christian faith (preferred).
