About the Role
The Nursing Assistant – Neuro ICU is a full-time role responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of an RN. The position supports patient safety and comfort through mobility, hygiene, nutrition, and routine rounds, and assists with patient transport, supply distribution, and equipment setup. Shifts are Day/Night on a 40-hour schedule.
What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of duties pertaining to patient care, patient transportation, material and supply distribution and equipment assembly.
- Adhere to departmental and Medical Center policies, procedures and regulations.
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing and hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding and hydration, and ambulation and positioning.
- Support patient safety and satisfaction by conducting regular rounds and effectively communicating with the care team.
- Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
What We're Looking For
- English reading, writing and speaking ability (verbal and written).
- Minimum one year experience as a Nurse Aide, or a diploma/certificate as Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant, EMT, or Patient Care Technician; or a nursing student with clinical fundamentals; or an RN with a foreign RN license with at least one year acute care experience.
- Current certification in BLS/HCP.
- Recent experience in an acute care setting preferred.
