ALIMA is recruiting a Nurse Team Supervisor to plan, organise and supervise nursing activities and healthcare teams, ensuring quality patient care in line with the organisation’s policies, medical protocols and universal health standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing activities and supervise the nursing team.

• Provide nursing care when required to support healthcare delivery.

• Ensure compliance with medical, nutrition, hygiene and infection prevention protocols.

• Prepare staff schedules, manage leave and absences, evaluate performance and identify training needs.

• Plan outpatient activities and ensure medical and nutritional prescriptions are followed.

• Supervise the use and management of medicines, medical equipment and supplies.

• Ensure staff are trained to use medical devices and report equipment malfunctions.

• Coordinate patient documentation, transfers, data collection and reporting.

• Provide regular activity reports and feedback to the Nursing Activity Manager or Project Medical Referent.

• Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

• Valid nursing practising licence.

• Minimum of 2 years’ relevant work experience.

• Experience working with an NGO or in developing countries is an added advantage.

• A recognised nutrition diploma is desirable.

• Fluency in English and a local language is essential; Hausa and Kanuri are required.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
