Job title: Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Urgent Care
About the Role The NP/PA provides evaluation and management to urgent care clinic patients in collaboration with a supervising urgent care physician. The supervising physician of record will be an Emerson Practice Associate (EPA) physician for purposes of establishing a collaboration agreement for licensure and prescribing status as well as periodic performance reviews. The degree of autonomy of the NP/PA's daily practice will depend on the details of each particular clinic and the preferences and skills of the NP/PA. The NP/PA works in accordance with Hospital privileges.
What You'll Do
- Provide evaluation and management to urgent care patients under the supervision of an Emerson EPA physician, within a framework of hospital privileges
- Maintain licensure, prescribing status, and participate in periodic performance reviews
- Collaborate with clinic staff and supervising physician to deliver timely and quality care
What We're Looking For
- Education: Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Master's or Doctoral degree; NP or PA
- Licensure: Current license as a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in Massachusetts
- Certification: National certification with recertification required every six years
- Experience: At least 5 years' experience as a PA/NP; urgent care and/or emergency department experience strongly preferred
- Certifications/Skills: BLS provider; ability to read, write, and communicate in English; strong computer skills; ability to maintain confidentiality; willingness to obtain/maintain Emerson Hospital privileges
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $55.00 - $95.00 per hour
