About the Role Nurse Practitioner Oncology is a member of the clinical patient care team, providing advanced practice services to oncology patients in inpatient/outpatient settings. This full-time role at Bay Area Cancer Center focuses on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care and collaborating with the care team.
What You'll Do
- Provide advanced practice nursing or physician assistant services to oncology patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Perform tasks and procedures within scope of practice, under supervision as applicable, and in line with licensure and board certification.
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement patient care plans using EPIC and other systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring physicians; maintain confidentiality; exercise good judgment and problem-solving.
- Prioritize multiple responsibilities, maintain punctual attendance, and work effectively in a fast-changing environment.
What We're Looking For
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with Oregon license; AONCP certification required by time of hire; oncology-certified preferred.
- Experience practicing as an oncology-certified NP in inpatient and/or outpatient settings preferred.
- Demonstrated skills: excellent written and oral communication, team collaboration, organization, critical thinking, and ability to work under stress.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records/EPIC and comfortable interfacing with multiple departments.
Nice to Have
- Inpatient/outpatient oncology experience; additional certifications or training in oncology care.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $113,322.00 - $169,984.00 USD per year (full-time role).
