Nurse / Midwife

DRG Hospital Limited is seeking a dedicated and qualified Nurse/Midwife to join their healthcare team in Kubwa, Abuja.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing and midwifery care, ensuring the well-being of patients throughout their journey. This includes expert management of maternal, newborn, reproductive, and emergency health needs.

You will contribute to a high standard of patient care by adhering to best practices in clinical documentation, infection prevention, and patient safety. Your ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with colleagues, and solve problems will be key to your success.

This position requires a commitment to working flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and a willingness to reside in or near Kubwa for reliable commuting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing and midwifery care
  • Manage maternal, newborn, reproductive, and emergency care
  • Ensure patient safety and adhere to infection prevention protocols
  • Maintain confidential patient records and prepare clinical reports
  • Conduct health education for patients
  • Work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Utilize basic computer literacy and potentially electronic health records

Qualifications

  • Registered and licensed RN and RM with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN)
  • Valid and current NMCN practising licence
  • 2–3 years’ relevant nursing and midwifery experience
  • Competence in antenatal, delivery, postnatal, newborn and emergency care
  • Knowledge of infection prevention, patient safety, health education and clinical documentation
  • Strong communication, counselling, teamwork and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidential patient records and prepare clinical reports
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Must reside in Kubwa or nearby environs and be able to commute reliably
