Job title: Nurse Educator
About the Role Responsible for company-wide nurse education, including nurse orientation and competency evaluations, annual nurse competencies, infusion education, BLS certifications, and other ongoing education and in-services as needed. This role supports Palmetto Infusion's nursing team across multiple service areas and ensures consistent, compliant education.
What You'll Do
- Develop an orientation plan for nurses and coordinate the educational plan with Nurse Managers.
- Conduct annual competency skill evaluations as well as competency evaluations of new nurses.
- Provide Basic Life Support education for Palmetto Infusion staff.
- Demonstrate knowledge of INS Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Provide effective communication so all staff are aware of current and future practices/patient procedures at Palmetto Infusion.
- Coordinate/provide education for all nursing staff related to new drug therapies, supplies, and equipment.
What We're Looking For
- Active RN license in state(s) of practice.
- CRNI certification within 3 years of hire.
- BLS Instructor Certification.
- 3+ years of experience in home and/or clinic infusion settings and/or nurse educator experience.
- Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Ability to cope with ambiguous, changing environment while under pressure calmly.
- Team player with ability to develop productive, cooperative relationships with Palmetto Infusion team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
