- Communicate effectively with others while maintaining discretion, courtesy and patient privacy.
- Maintain visual observation of assigned patients and, as applicable, provide redirection and contact appropriate personnel per department procedures.
- Provide care to patients based on the treatment plan and within scope of practice; multitask and prioritize multiple situations.
- Ensure patient environment safety and seek assistance per department procedure.
- Work with nursing staff to set and maintain patient care priorities and adapt to changing workloads.
- Adhere to organizational customer service policies and standards while caring for patients and interacting with others.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of instruments, equipment, and supplies as applicable to the assigned area.
- Remove contaminated materials and clean surfaces per protocol; perform stocking/restocking of supplies.
- Assess patients for relevant physical and cognitive abilities that may affect personalized activities; design activities for patients of different abilities and preferences.
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance as scheduled by department leadership. What We're Looking For
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting or related experience preferred.
- Healthcare Provider CPR certification or must successfully obtain as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Ability to make independent judgments and multitask in a fast-paced environment, including under stressful situations.
- Understanding of confidentiality laws governing the provider–patient relationship (HIPAA).
- Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, self-starter, critical thinking, and ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
- Proficiency with computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn other software as needed. Nice to Have
- Additional healthcare experience or CNA/Nurse Aide roles.
- Comfort with learning new software and equipment as needed. Compensation & Benefits
