Job title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

About the Role Under the supervision of the Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist, Director of Radiology, Chairman or Manager, the nuclear medicine technologist performs nuclear medicine imaging procedures and related techniques resulting in interpretation by, or at the request of, a licensed independent practitioner. Follows professional standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Perform Nuclear Medicine diagnostic or therapeutic procedures within scope and departmental standards.
  • Assess pertinent information. Prepare and educate patient for procedures and expectations.
  • Complete documentation of patient care and procedure.
  • Utilize the hospital and departmental information systems and equipment operations.
  • Maintain a level of productivity, adaptability, flexibility and timeliness in managing workload and processes required to meet patient care and department needs.
  • Adhere to department policy and procedures and practices modality specific safety protocols.
  • Actively engage in departmental meetings, modality meetings, and committee initiatives.
  • Complete hospital, departmental, and professional requirements.
  • Participate in assignments, duties and responsibilities for continuous improvement in alignment with management and organizational goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification/Registration: Current Certification of Nuclear Medicine Technologist by either the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (NM) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT) or registry eligible.
  • Certification: Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent.
  • Licensure: Licensed and Certified by the NH Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • Experience: None required.
