About the Role Join ContiTech as NPM Purchasing EMEA Category Buyer for Services within Purchasing@ContiTech. You will drive regional tactical purchasing activities across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, focusing on cost optimization, supplier partnerships, and alignment with internal customer strategies.
What You'll Do
- Driving all related purchasing activities in the EMEA region related to HR Services (e.g., temp labor, trainings and seminars, security services, employee benefits)
- Managing sourcing for consulting, marketing and communication services
- Travel, fleet and food related products and services
- Freight services (e.g., road) and custom services
- Warehouse services together with the Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager
- Drive negotiations with best commercial and operational aspects and ensure compliance with valid rules
- Identify synergy potential where possible
- Ensure full coverage of business requirements in received offers
- Drive contractual coverage
- Support operational improvements by negotiating commercial benefits
- Align purchasing with internal customer strategy
- Complete handling of the ordering process via CTOS and SAP, including complaints handling and internal/external communication
- Prepare and conduct tenders, offer comparisons, and contract negotiations for complex procurement projects in defined areas, in cooperation with Global Category Head and Regional Cluster Manager
- Create Sourcing Decisions Sheets, ensure BPBoC and NDA signatures, collect financial and commercial records, identify and develop vendors
- Ensure agreements are created, approved and signed and communicated to plants inside the region
- Support and management of special projects
What We're Looking For
- University Degree (Diploma/Bachelor/Masters) preferred and extensive experience, related certifications. At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a multi-country or EMEA environment
- Strong analytic and conceptual competence and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel
- Exceptional communicator capable of communicating effectively within a multi-cultural and across functions as well as all levels
- Confident handling of SAP R/3 + S/4 and MS Office
- Independent and responsible way of working as well as a quick comprehension
- Advanced negotiating skills, assertiveness, goal- and result-oriented work
- Fluent in English (writing and speaking); German and/or Hungarian language skills are a plus
- Experience in project management
