About this role
A Cybersecurity Engineer at Eaton in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, FRA, will build, deploy, maintain, and evolve technologies, platforms, and solutions to meet business needs and technical requirements. The role focuses on raising technical standards and influencing user behaviors, and involves hands-on construction and ongoing development of IT security platforms and services.
Responsibilities
- Provide expertise and leadership on cybersecurity topics in the design, development, and implementation of platforms and systems.
- Work across departments to implement technological solutions and platforms that meet customer needs, proactively proposing solutions while highlighting operational and security risks and offering alternatives.
- Coordinate regular updates of technologies and platforms to ensure the health and security of the information system; manage the lifecycle of technologies, platforms, systems, and associated documentation.
- Monitor platforms for performance, availability, and capacity; identify deviations and potential impacts on service delivery.
- Continuously optimize the use of solutions, platforms, and technologies; raise employee awareness of cybersecurity issues and support users in deploying security solutions.
- Monitor best practices in the industry, organizations, and ITIL to maximize quality and performance.
- Participate in on-call duties related to cybersecurity alerts and incidents.
- Collaborate with the IT infrastructure manager as an expert on requests originating from the DGA.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree (Bac +5) from an engineering school or equivalent, specializing in cybersecurity.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
- Technical skills: General knowledge of Microsoft solutions (client and server) and related certificates; proficiency with EDR, vulnerability management, and behavioral analysis; firewall management, remote access solutions, MFA solutions, and bastion hosts.
- Soft skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; contract and supplier management.
- Clearance: This position requires obtaining a defense clearance.
- Travel: Depending on the site, quarterly travel to the other two sites may be required.
- Language: Fluent English required.
