About the Role The Northeast Regional Manager, Energy oversees underwriting in the Northeast region and guides production, profitability and strategic execution. Partners with leadership across Risk, Sales and HR to build a high-performing team while ensuring governance and regulatory compliance. What You'll Do

  • Manage all Underwriting within the Northeast region, with direct accountability for profitability, penetration and volume within Energy.
  • Establish, implement and evaluate the production and profitability goals for the region.
  • Drive and execute the long-term business strategy for Northeast Energy.
  • Serve as a technical expert and authority on Energy underwriting.
  • Oversee the annual budgeting process for Energy and monthly forecasts for the Northeast.
  • Collaborate with leadership and HR to attract and retain top energy talent; develop high-performing teams.
  • Identify gaps in bench strength and develop training/recruiting plans to address deficiencies.
  • Establish strong relationships with zonal leadership to align expectations and drive execution of the business model.
  • Interact with all levels of the insurance community and promote a culture of collaboration, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Oversee all Northeast underwriters; manage staff performance, development, staffing decisions, and governance controls; ensure regulatory compliance. What We're Looking For
  • Strategic orientation with the ability to manage vision and purpose and develop organizational capability.
  • Results-oriented with strong influencing and communications skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple areas of the company and industries.
  • Experience in assessing and developing talent; change management and team leadership.
  • Minimum 7-9 years of Commercial Insurance Company, Agency or Brokerage experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; familiarity with actuarial data.
  • Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition and distribution.
  • Process and system skills; budgeting and expense control.
  • For roles based in New York, base salary range is $176,000-$220,000 and eligible for a bonus. Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $176,000-$220,000 per year; bonus eligibility per applicable incentive plan terms.
