About the Role The Non-Tenure Track Professor of Practice in Educational Technology at the University of La Verne will lead instructional design initiatives and support AI-enhanced learning across the LaFetra College of Education, collaborating with faculty and the Center for Learning Innovation to align with accreditation standards and emerging technologies. This year-to-year appointment includes teaching a limited number of courses and guiding technology-driven educational initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Lead instructional design initiatives to develop online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses across LFCE programs.
- Partner with faculty to design research-based learning experiences aligned with program learning outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Guide faculty through course design processes including learning objective alignment, backward design, authentic assessment development, and student engagement strategies.
- Develop instructional templates, design frameworks, and digital learning standards to ensure consistency and quality across programs.
- Support faculty in integrating multimedia, interactive learning activities, and digital tools that enhance engagement.
- Assist LFCE programs in accreditation compliance with standards; ensure technology-enhanced learning aligns with accreditation standards, curriculum goals, and student outcomes.
- Provide data-driven insights on technology integration’s impact on instructional effectiveness.
- Lead and manage technology-driven projects to enhance LFCE programs and student learning experiences; oversee AI-enhanced learning models and digital transformation strategies.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop technology-infused curriculum frameworks that align with industry standards and accreditation bodies.
- Provide one-on-one consultations, mentoring, and coaching on best practices in instructional technology; serve as a liaison between faculty, students, and CLI.
- Stay ahead of trends in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital learning ecosystems; guide faculty in adopting responsible AI tools; contribute to college-wide discussions on AI in education, digital equity, and emerging trends.
- Support curriculum development efforts that integrate cutting-edge educational technologies into hybrid and online courses; use assessment tools and analytics to evaluate impact.
What We're Looking For
- Experience designing and delivering online, hybrid, and technology-enhanced courses with a focus on accessibility and universal design.
- Knowledge of accreditation standards and experience aligning instructional design with program outcomes.
- Expertise in educational technology integration, data-informed instructional improvement, and AI-enabled learning models.
- Ability to lead technology-driven initiatives, collaborate with faculty, and provide professional development.
- Strong communication, mentoring, and project management skills.
