Position Summary
The Department of Surgery is looking to hire a Non-Student Short-Term Casual. The incumbent will perform multiple assignments under direct supervision.
Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory materials and assist with research experiments.

Order, organize, and maintain laboratory supplies and inventory.

Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and records related to research activities and experimental procedures.

Perform database analysis and assist with the organization and analysis of research data.

Culture and maintain patient-derived organoids.

Perform cell culture and molecular biology techniques, including Western blotting and qPCR.

Assist with mouse surgeries and the maintenance and management of mouse colonies

Minimum Qualifications
-
High School graduate or equivalency certificate.

Familiarity with excel, cell and molecular biology protocols, patient-derived organoid cultures and cell culture.

Preferred Qualifications
-
Technical training or equivalency, and some related laboratory experience or coursework.

6 months of related experience.
