About the Role The Non-Invasive Cardiologist provides cardiology services in inpatient and outpatient settings, including evaluation and management, and interpretation of echocardiography, EKG, nuclear imaging, stress testing, Holter monitoring, and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE). This role supports the Prefontaine Cardiovascular Clinic and Bay Area Hospital staff to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.

What You'll Do

• Examines, diagnoses, and provides a broad scope of treatments for cardiac disease processes.
• Interprets echocardiograms, stress testing, electrocardiograms, trans-esophageal echocardiography, and cardiac monitors according to established standards.
• Performs patient examinations, obtains records, pertinent medical history, and objective findings.
• Utilizes risk calculators and stays current with new studies, technology, and medications.
• Interprets and integrates data to determine diagnosis and therapeutic plan.
• Administers prescribed medications in compliance with state law and practice guidelines.
• Orders and performs appropriate medical procedures in accordance with regulations.
• Instructs patients and families regarding medications, treatments, and health maintenance.
• Documents care in the electronic medical record and ensures timely and accurate billing per clinic policies.
• Maintains patient records, triages telephone calls, and participates in physicians’ meetings and policy formation for the Prefontaine cardiology clinic.

What We're Looking For

• Medical staff membership/privileges eligibility with current board certification where applicable; CME activity and compliance with organizational requirements.
• Current licenses/certifications and ability to practice without restriction; effective communication with colleagues, patients, and administration.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality clinical practice and punctual attendance; ability to work in a team setting.
• Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health professional membership and privileges; experience in cardiology preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: Salaried, Grade L; annual salary based on experience (range not disclosed).
• Schedule: 80 hours per pay period; Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; on-site; includes sharing of Echo call rotation with weekend coverage.
• Location: Bay Area Hospital and Prefontaine Cardiovascular Clinic; Bay Area, CA, United States.
