We are looking for an experienced Non-Functional Tester to help define and establish the non-functional testing strategy for our Digital & Integration platform, with a primary focus on Nexus v4. The platform is continuing to grow, with new components and APIs being delivered to integrate both existing and new applications. Recent work demonstrates the breadth of Nexus integrations and the importance of end-to-end API behaviour, environment configuration, resilience and release validation. Key responsibilities:Define the overall NFT/performance testing strategy and approach for Nexus v4 and its APIs/components.
Lead the adoption, governance of NFT tools and frameworks and drive optimization initiatives/improvements.
Identify appropriate performance, load, stress, scalability, resilience and capacity testing requirements.
Establish suitable tooling, environments, test data, monitoring, baselines and measurable NFRs.Design representative end-to-end workloads covering Nexus APIs and upstream/downstream integrations.
Define workload models, test scenarios, test data requirements, and success criteria.
Work closely with engineering, QA and platform teams to embed NFT into the delivery lifecycle and provide a repeatable approach for future components.
Identify performance risks and bottlenecks and provide clear recommendations for remediation and optimisation.
Skills & ExperienceProven experience leading non-functional testing activities within Agile and DevOps environments.
Strong expertise in performance testing tools (JMeter)Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools - NewRelic ( Optional if we are going to visit the area) Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
We are looking for someone who can lead and shape the approach rather than simply execute existing performance tests, with strong experience of API/integration platforms.
