JOB TITLE NOGI Engineer

REPORTS TO NOGI Manager

DEPARTMENT General Services

JOB PURPOSE

Supervise the rehabilitation, maintenance and upgrade works for office, car park, residential accommodation, well-heads, access roads, Field Office Complex & Flow Station Infrastructure.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Preparation of Project Initiation Notes (PINs) and Scopes of Work (SoW) for progression of front-end engineering designs (FEED).
• Carry out project scoping and costing and Preparation of project contract documents etc.
• Monitor daily security report particularly on infrastructure (well head, Right of Ways) status and filter out general services intervention requirement.
• Make general service inputs to annual Asset project Planning and business planning forecasting.
• Supervise engineering (building, water, and wastewater) facilities activities to ensure smooth /sustained operations in support of sustained oil and gas production.
• Provide input to yearly operations budgets for NOGI.
• Ensure good ‘Site Governance’ systems and processes, including interface between cross dependent teams to provide effective Project Management as part of job execution.
• Supervise the delivery of quality engineering projects ensuring project safety, quality, cost effectiveness and timely delivery throughout the project lifecycle from project initiation, processing (to review/study, design) execution to commission.

JOB CONTEXT & KEY CHALLENGES

• Supervision of external service providers, community contractors/ subcontractor, that operate a different technical and safety standard.
• Development, influencing and motivation of service providers to buy-in and sustain delivery of projects to our standard.
• Project standardization: Development and implementation of company standard template for various project category taken cognizance of cost, fit-for-purpose engineering, reputation, auditability, monitoring, and implementation.

DIMENSIONS (METRICS)

Good technical experience and the know-how in different facets of civil works, oil & gas Engineering Procurement and Construction services consisting of facility maintenance, mechanical, electrical & Instrumentation engineering.

• Annual Capex budget – $650,000K
• 30+ contractors with very high expectations
• Green field office asset value of $50m
• Commercial office accommodation spread over 3 locations.
• Four Flow station facilities at remote locations
• Organization wide customers (at least 150+ Heirs Energies staff & 300
• contract staff)
• Responsible for ca. 30 contracts

JOB COMPETENCES – SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOUR

• Knowledge of site designs, architectural drawings, building design operations, workflow diagram and operating environment.
• Capability to use auto-card for simple basic drawing display/review, modification, and initiation/creation of architectural/engineering designs.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret As-built drawings, floor plans etc.
• HSE management in the business - HSE in contracts,
• Demonstrated ability on Building lifecycle.

• EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• A university Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent professional level experience with a minimum qualification of second class upper.

• Postgraduate/professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.

• Membership of COREN is an added advantage.

• Eight (8) to Fifteen (15) year’s work experience, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory role

• Five (5) years of experience in the Industrial, construction or Oil & Gas Real Estate operations or equivalent in related functions.

• RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT

• The competence required for this position is a combination of commercial office/location management, office safety, facilities management, project management and ability to supervise, and work flawlessly in customer-focused service delivery team.
