Job title: Night Shift Security Specialist
About the Role As a Night Shift Security Specialist (6:00pm–6:00am), you will help protect Koch entities and assets by monitoring alarms, managing access control, and analyzing video surveillance from a 24/7 command center. This role supports safety and security across Wichita-based operations and sites throughout the United States.
What You'll Do

- Communicate effectively with teammates, leaders, and customers
- Monitor and manage access control, alarm, and video systems from a central control console, often simultaneously
- Assess and respond to routine and emergency situations across remotely monitored locations
- Coordinate response efforts, including dispatching security, police, or fire services when needed
- Interpret video observations and alarm data to determine appropriate actions
- Perform basic troubleshooting of automated security systems
- Maintain accurate documentation, including call logs, incident reports, and operating procedures
- Review and maintain electronic documents using Microsoft Office applications
What We're Looking For
- Experience in a customer-facing, security, call center, or similar environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift (6:00pm–6:00am) on a rotating schedule, including weekends, holidays, overtime and accommodate schedule changes as needed
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain First Aid/AED/CPR certification
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods
Nice to Have
- Private security experience
- Experience with access control or video management systems
- Experience with central station alarm monitoring
- Current private investigator license
- Current EMT certification
