About the Role Logan Health Children's NICU RN on the night shift in Kalispell, Montana. This is a full-time, 12-hour night position in a cutting-edge 12-bed Level III NICU. Join a compassionate team dedicated to exceptional care for newborns and families. What You'll Do

  • Develops, implements and coordinates individualized, goal-directed nursing care for patients using the nursing process in the assigned area.
  • Maintain nursing standards of care and respond to changing workloads and patient conditions by calming, assessing, prioritizing, and seeking help as appropriate.
  • Transcribe and implement provider orders and treatments accurately and efficiently.
  • Practice infection control procedures and document all encounters according to standards.
  • Educate patients and families about health and medical needs per department protocol.
  • Assess patient needs, coordinate interventions, and anticipate potential changes in condition.
  • Problem-solve to resolve issues affecting patient care and maintain confidentiality as needed.
  • Follows policies regarding safety, medication administration, and equipment use. What We're Looking For
  • Current Montana RN license or multi-state compact license with authorization to practice in Montana; required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in NICU or similar setting preferred.
  • RN Residency Program for new graduates; not eligible for standard role.
  • RQI Provider (BLS) required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.
  • NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
  • STABLE must be obtained within 1 year of hire/transfer.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology and principles of professional nursing practice.
  • Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality laws.
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and safety procedures.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Nice to Have
