New Graduate Occupational Therapist

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Occupational Therapy Service has two new graduate positions available from 1st February 2027. Both positions are for 12 months and include the opportunity for rotation through both Inpatient Acute and Rehabilitation settings. The New Graduate positions will join the established Occupational Therapy team at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Health Service. The service provides a comprehensive competency- based training programme to support new graduate development.

Where you'll be working

Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital Occupational Therapy Department

What you'll be doing To provide a high level of occupational therapy services to patients and carers. This is a 1 year contract position for a new graduate occupational therapist.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Must hold registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Current NSW Driver's Licence.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).

  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Occupational Therapy service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, environmental modifications, home modifications, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
