Job title: Neuropsychologist

About the Role The Neuropsychologist will serve as the clinical lead for the neuropsychological assessment service line within Eisenhower Health’s outpatient behavioral health program. The role combines expert diagnostic work for complex cases with operational oversight of the testing program, including development of standardized test batteries, ensuring test security, and supervising psychometrists and trainees. The position also functions as a primary consultant to neurology, neurosurgery, and primary care, integrating data to inform diagnoses of neurodegenerative disorders, traumatic brain injury, and complex psychiatric presentations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the clinical lead for the neuropsychological assessment service line within Eisenhower Health’s outpatient behavioral health program.
  • Provide expert diagnostic services for complex cases.
  • Oversee the testing program, including development of standardized test batteries and compliance with test security protocols.
  • Provide clinical supervision of psychometrists and trainees.
  • Act as a primary consultant to neurology, neurosurgery, and primary care; integrate data to inform diagnoses of neurodegenerative disorders, traumatic brain injury, and complex psychiatric presentations.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Required: Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD), Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) or Doctor of Education in Psychology (EdD); Preferred: Completion of a formal two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Licensure/Certification: Required: Psychologist license by the California Board of Psychology; Workplace Violence and Response Training Class will be completed during program orientation; 5150 Certification Training within three months of hire; Preferred: Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology or active candidacy with eligibility to sit for the oral examination.
  • Experience: Required: Five years of mental health experience in individual, group, and family psychotherapy with a minimum of two years in diagnosis of dementias, movement disorders, and stroke rehabilitation; Preferred: Experience supervising psychometrists or trainees; experience in clinical education for varying trainees in mental health, including medical residents and psychology interns; experience in crisis intervention and clinical education for varying trainees in mental health.
  • Skills: Ability to communicate with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff to ensure clear and accurate exchange of information; ability to deal concretely and psychologically with a variety of crisis; ability to listen, interact and communicate with a wide variety of cultural backgrounds and socioeconomic classes; ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines; Expertise in current CPT billing codes for neuropsychological testing and the specific documentation requirements for evaluations.

  • Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology or active candidacy with eligibility to sit for the oral examination.
