About this role

About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine seeks a NeuroOphthalmologist (rank open, Assistant/Associate) to provide expert clinical care in neuro-ophthalmology and contribute to teaching and scholarly activities within the Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine. The role may include outpatient and inpatient clinical duties, teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, and opportunities to participate in research and program development.

What You'll Do

  • Provide expert clinical care in neuro-ophthalmology in outpatient and/or inpatient settings.
  • Document findings, plans, and actions taken in accordance with departmental guidelines and standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant medical/legal issues impacting patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and statistics per department policies.
  • Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings.
  • Collaborate across departments to support strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care within the academic medical center.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research.
  • Educate and mentor other health care professionals.
  • Teach residents, fellows, and medical students, and provide clinical supervision to support the academic mission.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • Active or eligible for a State of Ohio medical license.
  • Completion of residency training in Neurology or Ophthalmology.
  • Completion of a 12‑month neuro-ophthalmology fellowship training program.
