About the Role The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine’s Department of Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a NeuroOphthalmologist. The appointment is open rank (Assistant/Associate) and will be commensurate with experience and credentials. The primary focus will be outpatient and/or inpatient clinical practice with teaching responsibilities for residents, fellows, medical students, and may include opportunities in research.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert clinical care in neuro-ophthalmology.
- Document findings, plans, and actions taken according to departmental guidelines.
- Maintain medical records and statistics in line with department policies.
- Attend and participate in staff, committee, department, and other administrative meetings.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support strategic initiatives, program development, and multidisciplinary care coordination within the academic medical center.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical or translational research.
- Educate and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students; contribute to the academic mission through formal instruction and clinical supervision.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Active or eligible for a State of Ohio Medical License.
- Completion of residency training in Neurology or Ophthalmology.
- Completion of a 12-month neuro-ophthalmology fellowship training program.
- Ability to work in outpatient and/or inpatient clinical settings with teaching responsibilities for residents, fellows, and medical students; potential involvement in research activities.
