About the Role The Neurodiagnostic Technologist (EEG Tech) works under the supervision of a credentialed Neurodiagnostic Technologist and physician to perform non-invasive neurological tests, primarily EEG, to support diagnosis of epilepsy, stroke, and other brain disorders. The role offers structured training and hands-on experience in a specialized neurodiagnostic field in Kalispell, Montana. What You'll Do
- Assist in EEG and Neurodiagnostic Testing: perform non-invasive neurological tests under direct supervision to support physicians in diagnosing neurological conditions.
- Patient Care & Preparation: explain procedures to patients, ensure proper electrode placement, and prepare monitoring equipment.
- Data Management: enter physician-approved orders into EMR and help prepare reports.
- Equipment Maintenance: help maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment and report issues.
- Collaboration & Communication: work with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support high-quality patient care.
- Training & Certification Preparation: gain practical experience while working toward ABRET certification (required within 12 months of hire).
- Process Improvement: participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow department protocols to enhance outcomes. What We're Looking For
- Education: Currently enrolled in an approved EEG Neurodiagnostic Development or Training Curriculum or must enroll within six months of hire.
- Certification: Must obtain ABRET national certification within 12 months of hire.
- CPR: Current RQI Provider CPR certification (or must obtain within 90 days of hire).
- Technical Skills: Ability to maintain records, interpret and record neurodiagnostic data.
- Personal/Professional: Team-oriented, excellent verbal and written communication, ability to interact with patients and healthcare teams; strong organizational, detail-oriented, and problem-solving skills; basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.
- Healthcare Experience: Preferred but not required. Nice to Have
- Healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for patient documentation.
- Additional experience with neurodiagnostic equipment and data management. Compensation & Benefits
