About the Role Network & Telecom Radio Engineer to design, deploy and maintain radio solutions for Toronto's busy transit network, collaborating across design, engineering and commissioning teams to transform mobility and reduce carbon. What You'll Do
- Designing and deploying networks and virtual solutions based on system requirements
- Developing and executing testing, verification, and validation procedures
- Documenting and maintaining system specifications and interface control documents
- Conducting propagation analysis to ensure coverage and capacity objectives are met
- Performing site and vehicle surveys for radio equipment installations
- Troubleshooting radio systems and performing system performance improvements
- Participating in radio and network design and implementation activities
- Participating in Installation and Test & Commissioning activities, as well as network maintenance activities remote and in the field What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in telecommunications
- 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and operating wireless networks
- P. Eng certification or in progress
- Familiarity with radio technologies such as 4G/5G cellular
- Knowledge of radio access network hardware and link-budget analysis
- Experience with radio propagation analysis tools and troubleshooting
- Understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and network security policies Nice to Have
- Experience with rail signaling security standards
- Experience working in a transit/rail environment Compensation & Benefits
- The expected compensation for this role is CAD 80,000 – 105,000 per year, plus benefits and eligibility for an annual performance bonus
