Primary Function of Position: We are seeking a motivated and proactive Network Security and Operations Center Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team in a full-time role with opportunities for growth based on performance and organizational needs. This role is responsible for ensuring 24/7 operational coverage, managing performance metrics and KPIs, scheduling shifts, and fostering a collaborative team environment. The supervisor will play a key role in maintaining the security and integrity of essential operations, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving operational excellence.

Essential Job Duties

• Ensure 24/7 staffing coverage for cybersecurity operations, managing recruitment, onboarding, and retention of analysts to meet operational needs.
• Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, such as incident response times, alert resolution rates, and system uptime.
• Create and manage shift schedules to maintain continuous monitoring, balancing team workloads and accommodating employees requests with business needs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and leadership teams to align operational goals.
• Communicate performance updates, incident summaries, and staffing needs clearly to stakeholders through reports and briefings.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and support professional development for team members.
• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity policies and frameworks

Qualifications

• Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: Previous experience in a cybersecurity, network monitoring, or security operations role is preferred. Familiarity with incident response procedures and network protocols is highly desirable.

• Technical

Skills

• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, network environments, and network monitoring tools. Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems is a plus.

• Collaboration: Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills and a meticulous approach to documenting incidents, following processes, and meeting deadlines.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Team Leadership: Proven experience leading or supervising technical teams, including mentoring analysts, assigning tasks, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Shift Management: Ability to manage 24/7/365 operations, including coordinating shift schedules and ensuring proper staffing coverage.

• Decision‑Making Under Pressure: Strong ability to make timely, high‑impact decisions during security incidents or outages.

• Training & Development: Ability to upskill team members, deliver training sessions, and promote a learning culture.

• Required Education and Training

• Education: A degree or certification in cybersecurity such as SANS, information technology, or a related field is preferred but not required with demonstrated experience.

• Strong English Written and Verbal Communication Skills

• The ideal candidate must demonstrate exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal English communication. This includes the ability to:

• Clearly and concisely articulate ideas in meetings, presentations, and discussions.

• Produce well structured, grammatically accurate written materials such as reports, emails, and documentation.

• Adapt communication style based on audience—technical, non-technical, leadership, or cross functional teams.

• Actively listen, ask clarifying questions, and provide thoughtful responses.

• Communicate complex or technical concepts in a simplified and approachable manner.

• Maintain professionalism and clarity in both synchronous and asynchronous communication channels.

• Knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight) or network monitoring platforms.

• Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or MITRE ATT&CK.

• Familiarity with critical infrastructure systems or industrial control systems (ICS) is a plus.

• A passion for cybersecurity and a proactive mindset in identifying and mitigating risks.
