Job title: Network Security Engineer (Cisco ISE)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, and optimize Corning’s enterprise-grade network solutions globally. The role focuses on Network Access Control using Cisco ISE and secure, automated operations to support reliable and compliant access across diverse environments.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and administer Cisco ISE clusters, including design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Develop, implement, and support Network Access Control (NAC) policies for user and device authorization to meet security compliance requirements.
  • Develop RADIUS policies for dynamic VLAN assignment to devices or users as required.
  • Develop and support RADIUS-based wireless policies for user/device authentication.
  • Support TACACS device manager service for management of enterprise-grade devices.
  • Collaborate with other network technologies as needed.
  • Maintain and update system certificates associated with ISE authentication processes.
  • Troubleshoot ISE performance and end-user authentication issues.
  • Develop network designs, documentation, and implementation plans for assigned projects.
  • Proactively monitor and audit network events and logs.
  • Document work using the ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call, network maintenance windows, and critical response activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience administering Cisco ISE and managing ISE clusters; strong knowledge of Network Access Control (NAC) policies and RADIUS.
  • Hands-on experience with dynamic VLAN assignment and RADIUS policies; wireless authentication policies.
  • Experience with TACACS device manager and enterprise-grade device management.
  • Familiarity with automation and API integration to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC)-driven operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot authentication issues and ISE performance; strong documentation and ticketing (ServiceNow).
  • Comfortable collaborating across diverse environments and with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours support and on-call rotations.
  • Knowledge of security compliance requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with OT or manufacturing environments is a plus.
