- We're hiring a Network Engineer (VMware Solutions) to join our team in Columbia, SC. This role offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
Skills & Qualifications
- 13 years of experience in IT
- 8 years of experience with:
- Enterprise environments with known issues on both the SAN and VMware Front
- VMware ESX Administration
- 3 years of State or Federal government experience
- Capacity planning based on technical analysis and research experience
Key Responsibilities
- Design documentation will need to be produced documenting final deployment details
- Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions
- Develop workaround solutions as appropriate
- Perform equipment and software upgrades
- Install, configure, test, monitor, and maintain system and application hardware and software
- Diagnose and resolve problems related to hardware and software; and escalate complex issues to other groups or vendors for resolution
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field
- VCP certification required, 5 years of equivalent experience in VMware
Ideal Candidate:
- The ideal candidate for this position will have extensive experience in IT, particularly with VMware and enterprise environments. They should possess a VCP certification and have a strong background in VMware ESX administration.
Salary
- The salary range for this position is $140,000 – $155,000.
