About the job
SBD is seeking a Network Engineer II to support a state government network engineering program. This is a hybrid position, requiring approximately 50% on-site work at client locations and lab environments across Maryland. Candidates must reside in Maryland.
Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and related equipment.

Assist with troubleshooting and incident resolution.

Maintain network documentation and inventories.

Support lab testing and field deployments.
Required Qualifications:
-
1-3 years of network support or engineering experience.

Working knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing fundamentals.

Familiarity with Cisco IOS.
-
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
-
Maryland residency.
-
U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:

CCNA or Network+ certification.

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.

Location: Laurel, MD. Hybrid role with roughly 50% on-site work.
