Job title: Network Engineer - Advanced Level (Bilingual)
About the Role The Network Engineer - Advanced Level is responsible for the strategy, design, implementation, operations, and continuous improvement of PALIG’s enterprise network and voice infrastructure, including LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, security, and cloud connectivity. The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco and HPE switching, Cisco routers, SD-WAN, Aruba Wireless, Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls, AWS networking, and BGP, along with strong VoIP and Cisco Voice solutions expertise and experience supporting Contact Center platforms. Fluency in English and Spanish is required to collaborate across Latin America, with hybrid work options available for the right candidate.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with Network Architecture and Security teams on architectural initiatives, technology evaluations, modernization efforts, and design reviews to ensure feasibility and long-term supportability.
- Translate approved designs into deployment plans, configuration approaches, and implementation sequencing.
- Implement and maintain enterprise networking solutions using Cisco routers, Cisco/HPE switches, and Silver Peak/Aruba EdgeConnect SD-WAN.
- Deploy, configure, and support Aruba wireless solutions; configure routing and Internet connectivity (BGP, ISP, redundancy, failover).
- Coordinate network connectivity and policy with Network Security Engineers for firewalls, segmentation, and secure access controls; support Palo Alto and Cisco firewalls.
- Engineer and troubleshoot Cisco Voice solutions (dial plans, SIP, gateways, QoS, call flows) and support Contact Center platforms (AWS, Cisco, or Microsoft).
- Support AWS networking and hybrid connectivity initiatives; participate in data center migrations, office expansions, and MDF/IDF builds; perform cutovers, validation, and rollback where applicable.
- Perform operational management tasks: escalate for complex incidents, troubleshoot with packet captures/logs/telemetry, maintain monitoring and visibility tools, participate in RCA, execute change management, and leverage automation.
- Maintain configuration integrity and up-to-date documentation, including diagrams, IP schemas, voice call flows, and runbooks; independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
What We're Looking For
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications or Computer Science with 5+ years of experience, or 5 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong hands-on experience supporting LAN/WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, voice, firewall-adjacent networking, and cloud connectivity.
- Proven experience working with Network Architecture and Network Security teams.
- Conversational fluency in both English and Spanish.
