About this role
Section: Overview We are a fast-growing cloud technology startup looking for a practical, security-conscious Network & Cybersecurity Specialist with 4–5 years of experience to manage, maintain, and secure our core infrastructure. You will work alongside an external consultant during the onboarding phase before taking full operational ownership of our network and cybersecurity posture. Section: Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Arista network infrastructure, BGP peering, and data center racking.
- Oversee network security operations, firewalls, VPNs, log monitoring, and threat detection.
- Perform routine security checks, vulnerability assessments, updates, and patch management.
- Handle hardware/software installations, routing, switching, VLANs, and cloud security implementations. Section: Requirements
- 4–5 years in Network Engineering, Network Administration, or Cybersecurity.
- Practical experience with Arista setups (strong Cisco or Huawei experience also considered).
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, and Windows/Linux environments.
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud networking and security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus (CCNA, CCNP, Security+, CySA+, CISSP, or Cloud certs).
