Job title: Network Administrator

About the Role The infrastructure department of Ubisoft's global network team is seeking a Network Administrator to bring their expertise to life in a dynamic group of gaming and tech enthusiasts in Paris. You will install, maintain and optimize IT networking solutions and services, and propose improvements to the current infrastructure as a senior administrator responsible for solving complex issues for partners.

What You'll Do

  • Install and maintain network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls and load balancers)
  • Deploy and maintain private network links and dedicated peering
  • Assist in evaluating requirements, technical design and standards
  • Participate in the definition of standards, guidelines, best practices and metrics
  • Drive adoption of automation to enhance operational efficiency and consistency
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network infrastructure and services
  • Enforce network security policies and procedures
  • Perform proactive network capacity management and maintain documentation
  • Mentor team members, especially new administrators
  • Contribute to planning the evolution and expansion of the network and systems
  • Optimize network performance
  • Carry out all other related tasks

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience as a Network Administrator
  • Expert level in routing technologies such as BGP and OSPF
  • Expert level in switching technologies such as VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, VTP, and Layer 2/Layer 3 switching protocols
  • Ability to develop techniques and methodologies to resolve unprecedented problems or situations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex information for management
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and proactive governance/prioritization
  • Honesty, integrity and confidentiality must be maintained
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Linux environment knowledge
  • Strong expertise in automation using Python and Ansible, with hands-on CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud networking knowledge (AWS, Azure)
