About this role
**
This is a remote position.
On behalf of our Client, an international company based in the Netherlands, we are looking for 2-3 Neptune DXP (Open Edition) Developers to build business applications for manufacturing and logistics processes. The project starts immediately and runs until the end of March 2027, with a possible extension.
This is a hands-on development role: you will design and build modern, user-friendly applications on the Neptune DXP platform that connect shop-floor and warehouse users with the company's SAP backend.
In the role of a Neptune DXP Developer, you will:
-
Design and develop applications on Neptune DXP Open Edition (UI5-based front end, server-side scripts, APIs);
-
Build apps supporting manufacturing and logistics processes (e.g. production confirmations, goods movements, warehouse operations, quality checks, shop-floor and mobile scenarios);
-
Integrate the applications with the SAP backend using standard interfaces (OData services, REST APIs, RFC/BAPI), together with the client's SAP team;
-
Translate business requirements into app designs, prototypes and user-friendly interfaces;
-
Take part in testing, deployment and support of the applications;
-
Work closely with business users, functional SAP consultants and the client's IT team, and travel to the client in the Netherlands when needed.
Requirements
-
Hands-on experience developing applications on Neptune DXP / Neptune Software (Open Edition preferred);
-
Strong JavaScript skills and experience with SAPUI5 / OpenUI5 (or similar front-end frameworks);
-
Experience with REST / OData APIs and integration of web or mobile apps with backend systems;
-
Good understanding of the SAP backend and data model - especially logistics and manufacturing (MM, PP, WM/EWM) - and of how to consume SAP data and services; no need to be an ABAP / SAP technical specialist;
-
Ability to work independently with business users and to deliver in a fast-paced project;
-
Good English communication skills (Dutch is an advantage);
-
Availability to start immediately; readiness to travel occasionally to the Netherlands.
-
Nice to have
-
Experience with Neptune DXP SAP Edition, SAP Fiori or SAP BTP;
-
Node.js / TypeScript, SQL databases, Git and CI/CD;
-
Experience with mobile / offline apps for shop-floor or warehouse users (scanners, barcodes);
-
Previous projects in manufacturing or logistics.
Benefits
-
Long-term B2B contract until end of March 2027, with possible extension;
-
Remote work with an international client;
-
Modern low-code / pro-code app development on Neptune DXP;
-
Real impact on manufacturing and logistics processes;
-
Immediate start.
