Job title: NDT Operator (Level 1)
About the Role The NDT Operator (Level 1) performs nondestructive testing and inspection to verify product quality and compliance with specifications at Precision Castparts' Mentor, OH facility. This role supports production by operating testing equipment, documenting results, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards.
What You'll Do
- Inspect parts for defects and ensure compliance with specifications
- Operate testing equipment to evaluate product quality
- Perform system capability checks and follow established procedures
- Accurately document work performed and maintain required records
- Handle materials, including hazardous waste, in compliance with safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support inventory movement and storage management
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (or relevant experience)
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Casting experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and flexibility when needed
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
- Positive attitude and clear communication skills
- Willingness to learn and obtain Level 1 certification
- Ability to pass a visual acuity exam
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
