Section: About the Role We are seeking an experienced National Sales & Distribution Manager for a leading company in the building materials and construction products industry. The successful candidate will manage distributors, expand the dealer network, develop new business opportunities, and drive sales growth across Nigeria.
Section: Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate distributors and dealers nationwide.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Identify and onboard new distributors, dealers and business partners.
- Build relationships with distributors, contractors, developers and key customers.
- Drive sales growth and achieve assigned sales targets.
- Monitor distributor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Develop new territories and increase market penetration.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs.
- Negotiate commercial terms with distributors and major customers.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline and follow up on business opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales reports and provide performance updates to management.
Section: Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, business development or distribution, preferably within building materials, construction, plumbing, roofing, sanitary products or related industries.
- Proven experience managing distributors or dealer networks.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian building materials market and distribution channels.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong business development and networking skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Ability to travel nationwide as required.
- Previous experience in a sales management role is highly preferred.
