Job title: National Operations Manager
About the Role The National Operations Manager will serve as a direct representative of CFAO, responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the business across the regions. The role will drive achievement of sales targets, oversee operations, finance, governance and asset management, and lead the sales team, reporting directly to the General Manager.
What You'll Do
- Oversee sales, operations, financial governance and ensure strategic objectives and profitability across all departments.
- Manage asset maintenance and overall administration of the division.
- Provide effective leadership to ensure staff function as a productive, committed team aligned with the Group's vision, mission, goals and values.
- Maintain a safe, cost-effective, and compliant workplace.
- Prepare clear and timely business reports and proposals for the General Manager; follow up on business concerns.
- Lead field sales activities across regions, conduct field visits, contact customers, manage distribution and end-users; attend conventions/exhibitions as required to promote products.
- Enforce internal financial controls and provide timely monthly financial reports; ensure financial activities meet company objectives.
- Monitor essential branch functions: New/Used Sales (order take targets, invoicing, GP, stock turn), Rental financing within National Office parameters, Parts (avoid obsolescence), Service & Maintenance (WIP, maintenance contracts profitability, warranty processing), Debtors (collect with days under 40), Creditors (BBBEE compliant suppliers).
- Ensure quality customer service and attract/secure new business and build partnerships with tailor-made solutions.
- Ensure efficient and effective operations to maximize profitability and develop short and long-term strategic plans.
- Manage Human Resources: staff management per policies; drive branch growth and operational innovation.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma (Level 3) and 7–10 years of experience.
- Proven leadership in national operations with ability to drive sales targets and strong financial acumen.
- Asset management, governance, safety and legal compliance experience.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, strategic planning, budgeting and reporting.
- Familiarity with BBBEE and supplier management is advantageous.
