Job title: Natatorium Coordinator (Graduate Assistant)
About the Role The Natatorium Coordinator (Graduate Assistant) supports daily operations of the UIW Natatorium, including lifeguard supervision, facility upkeep, and equipment maintenance. This student position reports to the Director of Sports and Wellness and is open to UIW graduate students.
What You'll Do
- Schedule and supervise lifeguards and technicians
- Create and schedule continuing education ensuring lifeguards meet certification requirements
- Complete daily walk-through of the facility
- Coordinate, work, and run swim meet events
- Supervise the Natatorium during holiday and school break schedules as required by the Director of Sports and Wellness
- Understands and represents the mission and vision of UIW and UIW Sports and Wellness
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- UIW graduate student
- At least one (1) year of lifeguard experience
- CPR and First Aid Certification; American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Ability to plan, organize and schedule staff; supervise and direct the work of others
- Knowledge of swimming, diving, and/or synchronized swimming at the collegiate level
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Adherence to University, Conference, and NCAA rules
Nice to Have
- One (1) year experience in pool program/setting, sports management atmosphere
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $13.00 per hour for 20-25 hours per week
