Job title: Multiple Adjunct Positions - Mathematical & Computing Sciences
Description: St. John Fisher University’s Mathematical and Computing Sciences Department is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate courses on an ongoing, as-needed basis. Educators will work with curriculum developed by the department and help generate excitement among students for the content of the material.
What You'll Do
- Teach undergraduate courses in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, and Cybersecurity as assigned.
- Collaborate with the department to implement curriculum and assessment methods.
- Use department-supported instructional materials and may be expected to have expertise with software such as R, Excel, or Access for certain courses.
- Be available to teach evening course assignments when offered.
- Maintain professional conduct and participate in department functions; utilize college facilities and instructional supplies.
What We're Looking For
- A Master’s degree.
- Significant teaching experience or knowledge in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity.
- Ability to teach undergraduate students and work with curriculum developed by the department.
- For certain courses, expertise with software such as R, Excel, or Access may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation is provided on a per-course basis at rates set by the college. Fisher courses are typically 3 credits, equaling $3,501 per course.
- Instructors have access to college facilities and instructional supplies and are invited to department functions.
- Evening course assignments are sometimes available.
