KKCO, the NBC affiliate in Grand Junction, Colorado, is looking for a multimedia journalist who is ready to own stories from idea to air and publication. The MMJ will be able to connect with audiences across every platform. This is an opportunity for a strong, curious storyteller to cover the issues, people and moments that matter across western Colorado — from breaking news and enterprise reporting to compelling video, digital and social content that helps our communities stay informed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Receive assignment or evaluate news leads and news tips to develop story ideas.
- Gather and verify factual information regarding stories through interview, observation, and research.
- Organize material, determine slant or emphasis, and write story according to prescribed editorial style and format standards.
