About this role
About the role
The Multimedia Editor creates and edits Multimedia content, including video, motion, 3D, 360, creative imagery and AI-enabled imagery, to approved client and retailer briefs, production standards and agreed deadlines.
Working under the direction of the Multimedia Lead, the role turns briefs into accurate, finished assets: confirming inputs, capturing where required, editing and finishing content, and preparing complete files for handover to QA. It works closely with Photography, Retouch, QA and Operations to keep production moving and reduce avoidable rework, and supports the testing of new Multimedia and AI-enabled production types before they enter routine use.
Role scope
- Create and edit assigned Multimedia content across video, motion, 3D, 360, creative and AI-enabled imagery.
- Work from approved briefs, production instructions and style guides, confirming required inputs before production starts.
- Manage own workload against the schedule and priorities set by the Multimedia Lead.
- Carry out hands-on capture where the brief requires it, including camera operation, lighting and digital operating.
- Prepare files to agreed specifications and hand over complete, correctly named output to QA.
- Contribute to the testing, documentation and improvement of Multimedia workflows.
- Review assigned briefs, production instructions, style guides and reference material before starting work; confirm required formats, dimensions, views and deliverables.
- Confirm that samples, source files, footage and assets are available; identify missing inputs and raise them with the Multimedia Lead before production starts.
- Clarify creative and technical requirements with the Multimedia Lead where briefs are incomplete or open to interpretation.
- Create and edit video, motion graphics, 3D, 360, composite and AI-enabled imagery in line with approved briefs and production standards.
- Carry out image finishing within Multimedia outputs, including clean-up of product imperfections, alignment of verticals, colour and tonal correction and deep etching.
- Ensure content preserves authentic product features, colour, proportions, packaging information and details required by the retailer or client.
- Use approved AI-enabled tools only within agreed workflows, checking every output for product accuracy, consistency and brief compliance.
- Operate cameras, lighting and capture software for Multimedia shoots, including video, 360 and reference capture, using approved setups.
- Manage digital operating during capture, including tethered capture, RAW processing in Capture One, applied styles and custom colour profiles.
- Coordinate with Photography where shoots, setups, equipment or studio space are shared.
- Deliver assigned work against agreed milestones and due dates, and flag risks to deadlines early.
- Prepare, name, export and store files to agreed specifications, formats and folder structures.
- Keep production status current in the agreed systems and hand over complete output to QA with the information needed for review.
- Implement internal review, client and QA feedback accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Self-check work against the brief, checklists and production standards before handover.
- Help investigate QA rejections and rework, and apply agreed corrections to method or practice.
- Support the testing of new Multimedia and AI-enabled production types, recording production times, methods and outcomes for the Multimedia Lead.
- Contribute to production instructions, checklists and example outputs, and share approved techniques with the team.
- Keep current with relevant software, techniques and production trends, and propose practical improvements.
- Take responsibility for the equipment, software and workstations in use; keep them in good working order and report faults promptly.
- Handle client products and samples with care, following recorded handover procedures.
- Maintain a tidy, safe and orderly workspace, reset at the end of each day.
- Completion of assigned work against agreed milestones and due dates.
- First-time QA approval and Multimedia-related rejection or rework rates.
- Output against planned capacity, allowing for job complexity.
- Accuracy and completeness of files, naming, status updates and handovers.
- Turnaround and accuracy in implementing feedback.
- Accuracy of recorded production times for new and existing production types.
- Equipment care, workspace standards and timely escalation of blockers.
- Progress against individual development plan.
