About the Role CBS Sacramento is seeking a full-time multimedia journalist who will embrace our Community Journalism initiative. The role focuses on reporting scripted and unscripted news and features across all platforms and guiding viewers through accountability and solutions-oriented journalism, including breaking news and feature stories.
What You'll Do
- Communicate effectively with interviewees and viewers in a confident, conversational manner.
- Create enterprising and engaging content that aligns with CBS Sacramento’s mission of Getting Answers for audiences on all platforms.
- Report scripted and unscripted news and features in both live and recorded formats.
- Guide viewers through accountability and solutions-oriented journalism, handling breaking news and feature stories with words and pictures.
What We're Looking For
- Prior on-air reporting experience required.
- Strong writing skills and understanding of broadcast news and entertainment reporting techniques.
- Multimedia Journalist experience including shooting, writing and editing vosots and packages.
- Experienced in live reporting.
- A valid driver's license is required.
