Multi Sectoral Coordinator (District Level)

Place of Work: Sehala, Gazgibla and Goncha Woredas

Job Description:

Job Purpose: To provide overall leadership, supervision and quality assurance for RISE Integrated Multi-Sector Project. The coordinator is further expected to initiate, lead, control and report all field level project activities. The core purpose is therefore to ensure the implementation of all filed project activities in accordance with sector design, planned activities and budget, ensuring the project’s alignment with WV policies, country and donor contexts, DHR rules & regulations.

Major Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate, and ensure the rigorous execution of RISE project field-level activities in strict compliance with the RISE project proposal, WVIE policies, donor guidelines, and governmental regulatory frameworks.
  • Ensure the proper physical & financial implementation of the project as planned during the desired timeframe, while ensuring efficient and effective utilization of project resources
  • Oversee and supervise the field level project officer and provide the necessary support for the overall implementation of sectorial activities and ensure challenges and concerns properly handled and take immediate actions,
  • Ensure intentional networking with field coordination, (ABC), Woreda and Zonal government offices/institutions, non-governmental actors and other stakeholders
  • Ensure the compilation and submission of financial and narrative reports to the project manager.
  • Submit operation plans and regular progress reports to respective project managers and government offices on time.

Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification:

  • BA/BSc Degree in Agriculture, agricultural economics, Economics, Development studies, WASH related or other related fields

Required Professional Experience:

  • Experience: 2-5yrs/2yrs in coordinator/ management level.
  • Program management skills, Participatory M&E, community participation, Participatory Learning & Action
  • Experience in USAID/BHA and EHF funded projects is an advantage
  • NGO experience is preferred.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement:

  • Work environment: Field level
  • Travel: Frequent travel within the program area(Kebeles)

Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Program management skills, community participation, Participatory Rural Appraisal, Participatory Learning & Action

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in oral and written English.
