About this role

Job title: Multi-Craft Technician

About the Role The Multi-Craft Technician will perform maintenance and electrical repair across machines, Powerhouse, buildings and grounds at the plant. This role includes troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, lubrication, welding, basic machine shop tasks, and PLC/electrical control work on 12-hour night/day shifts to support safe and efficient plant operations.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery; perform preventative maintenance and inspections
  • Install, maintain and remove machinery and equipment; perform machine shop tasks, pipefitting, mechanical work, carpentry, sheet metal, and rigging
  • Lubricate machines and plant equipment; establish lubrication routes and schedules; service oil and filters
  • Monitor environmental systems, perform spill containment, clean up and recordkeeping
  • Perform basic structural welding and safety inspections; assist in fire prevention
  • Troubleshoot PLC-based controls; modify PLC programs to improve processes; verify calibration of process controllers and recorders
  • Install and repair electrical equipment (switchgear, motors, starters, switches, instruments) from wiring diagrams; run cables, conduit and pull wires; service inside/outside lighting up to 480V
  • Read blueprints, sketches and specifications; use electrical instrumentation (amp meter, voltmeter, megger)
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area; operate company vehicles on plant property as needed and maintain related paperwork
  • Follow ContiTech environmental policy and safety instructions

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum two years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience; able to read and write legibly
  • Able to pass the written Multi-Craft Technician test or have completed a certified program
  • Experience in industrial machine maintenance and/or electrical work; able to use hand and power tools; own basic tools
  • Able to climb and work at heights; able to work independently or in a team; willing to train others; able to work any shift, weekends and holidays
  • Familiar with reading wiring diagrams, blueprints and specifications; capable of working with voltages up to 480V
  • Comfortable with 12-hour shifts, on-site work

Nice to Have

  • PLC programming/modifications experience; centrifuging and filtration operations
  • Welding experience and broader mechanical/electrical knowledge

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay $41.65 per hour; on-site, 12-hour shifts; plant environment
