Job title: Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician
About the Role The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician will support the Batavia corrugated sheet feeder facility by safely installing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment to keep operations running smoothly. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills with a focus on safe work practices.
What You'll Do
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and repair and maintain all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
- Install and repair mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Use hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments
- Complete mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities
- Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day, in a loud/noisy, industrial, high-volume environment
What We're Looking For
- Three years of industrial, electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical AND electrical issues
- Experience with PLC interface pattern control
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience reading electrical schematics and technical drawings
Nice to Have
- A certificate of electrical or mechanical training from an accredited institution
- Experience with single and three phase electrical repair/troubleshooting up to 480 volts
- Prior maintenance experience in the packaging industry with focus on converting/corrugating equipment
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $2,500 sign-on bonus; $35.50 per hour (determined based on skill and experience); 3rd Shift Differential = $1.50
- Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
